Postpartum Doula Services
The first few weeks and months after a child arrives in a family is a wonderful and challenging time. Having the support of a doula can help ease the transition for the whole family. Postpartum Doulas specialize in the first few months after the baby is born or adopted.
Some areas that I can help with include:
- Newborn care, soothing, burping, diapering, etc.
- Breastfeeding
- Mother’s physical adjustment after the birth process
- Nutritional and emotional support
- Learning how to use baby carriers and slings
- Household chores, laundry, cooking, dishes, etc.
- Hanging out with your baby while you rest
- Parent-baby bonding
- Errands and doctor appointments
- Sibling adjustment
- Use of my lending library
- Instruction in infant massage
My charge for Postpartum Doula Support is $20/hour. I am generally available for up to 4 hours per day. I work within a 45 minute drive from Great Barrington, MA.
